Bolton food and drink festival starts today
Bolton’s annual Food and Drink Festival is back and it’s bigger and better than ever.
This year’s event is being held from today (Friday, August 27) to Monday, August 30.
The Festival starts with 2005 Masterchef winner Thomasina, who will be bringing some feminine charm to the weekend and cooking up some treats. She joins a host of other top chefs taking part, including celebrities James Martin the Hairy Bikers and Gino D'A…

Ex-Eastender comes to the Octagon
Best known for her roles in television, and most famously for playing soap favourite Cindy Beale in EastEnders, Michelle Collins will be taking to the Octagon stage next year playing the role of the Nurse in Romeo and Juliet. The Nurse is one of Shakespeare’s most famous characters; warm, generous, funny and charismatic. Devoted to Juliet, she is torn between her love of her surrogate daughter and her obligation to her rich and powerful employers.
