Centre makes a splash
Bolton’s state-of-the-art leisure centre has opened its doors.
The £30.6 million Bolton One, on Moor Lane, opened to the public at 6.30am on February 1.
The flagship health, leisure and research complex is a partnership between Bolton Council, NHS Bolton and the University.

Council launches Year of Sport
Bolton is all set for an exciting year-long programme of sporting events and activities to coincide with a massive year of UK sport.
The council has designated 2012 as a ‘Year of Sport’ to recognise the unprecedented year ahead for the UK and to ensure residents and visitors of all ages get the chance to join the celebrations and take part in sports, events and activities throughout the year at a local level.

Free swimming and exercise classes
Free swimming sessions and free exercise classes are up for grabs at Bolton One to celebrate its opening in February.
Every Bolton resident can take advantage of the free swimming sessions and there are 2,012 exercise classes available on a first come, first served basis to coincide with the 2012 Olympics.
